In my late teens I discovered this fascinating object. The endless possibilities, the diversity of shapes and figures, nothing had me doubting this is my object. I submerged myself into the world of diabolo, juggling, circus and performance art, as a result I became fascinated with all this. I applied for Circus school at Codarts in my home town Rotterdam.
In 2010 I graduated from Codarts Circus Academy, specialising in diabolo as a form of object manipulation or juggling if you will. During these studies I came in contact with plenty of other performing skills such as acrobatics (floor, partner, aerial), various disciplines in dance, theatre techniques as well as theoretical subjects that are applicable in the working field of a circus artist. With my diabolo I enjoy finding new things, putting these things into a wider context and telling a story with them. On my journey as a diabolo artist for over 10 years now I have been discovering new things with great enthusiasm and every time I get to do diabolo I am always surprised by the object and its wonderful ways. My goal is to share my passion with others.
